Ad Fraud in Mobile Advertising: The Next Battle

The often-quoted suggestion that “the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing” was first uttered long before sophisticated digital advertising fraud threatened marketing budgets around the globe, but the principles have never been more relevant. The tools to combat fraud exist, but a proactive and informed effort from all sides of the digital ecosystem is required to successfully implement them.
IVT: An Acronym Worth Your Attention 
Ad fraud represents a significant proportion (though not all) of a phenomenon formalised in many markets as invalid traffic (IVT). Based on a comScore study, in the United Kingdom, 95% of the Top 100 display sites have below 5 percent IVT, however 44% of those sites have sections with above 5 percent IVT. In Australia, 95% of the Top 100 display sites have below 5 percent IVT, while 34% of those sites have sections with above 5 percent IVT. So this is not an issue that only affects small publishers or networks.
Unlike impressions that are served to real people who do not happen to fit a marketer’s intended target, IVT impressions are served to a wide array of bots, spiders and other non-human actors. Some of these are harmless necessities of digital functionality, but a growing number are malicious and sophisticated attempts to pocket advertising revenues in a fraudulent manner. At best, IVT impressions are entirely wasted, and at worst, they are direct theft.

How to Choose the Right Product to Start Online Business

Thinking about opening an online store or online business? Not sure if you have the right products to sell online? Well, it’s not always black and white but today we ’ll go over the six crucial considerations you must reflect on before investing in a specific product for your online business.
We’ll cover everything that matters including the demand, competition, profits, marketing and legal issues you should think ??

1. What’s the demand currently?

This is the first and most important question that you should ask yourself before even considering start your business , if you still feel confident then you are on the right track!
- Do people really want this product? Need this product?
- Who is your target market? What is the size of the market?
- Is this product affordable?
- Does it make sense to sell your product online?

Take a look at Google Trends and explore the search volume of your product. For the sake of an example, let’s pretend you want to start selling scarves online, let’s take a look at the interest in the keyword “scarf” in the last 12 months.

2. Research your competition,its very important

You need to know absolutely everything about your products industry and that includes your competition. Know your competition inside out by doing the following

- Sign up for their newsletters
- Analyze their website – What works? What could be better?
- Make sure to check price comparison sites if you are selling goods

Are you confident that you can beat out the competition? Then do some extra research on Google Keyword Tool and analyze the SEO competition for your product. Are you going to be able to rank as high as them on search engine results??

3. Is this a money making business,Really?

Is your product going to be affordable enough to sell? Are you going to profit once you consider all of the costs involved in selling the product? I’ve compiled a list of general costs to help you realize your profitability:

- Manufacturing Costs/ Process cost if giving any service
- Packaging Costs
- Shipping Costs/Third party cost if involved
- Credit Card Processing Fees
- Advertising/Marketing Costs

4. What kind of marketing can be done for your product, People think after product developed?

Think about all the different ways of marketing that you can market your product. Devise a plan for how you’re going to get the word out there and build customer loyalty. How will you market product/branding on social media? Will you send out newsletters? Offer loyalty rewards?

5. Will your product last?

When you’re selling online you really need to think whether or not your product will survive the shipping process. Can it break, melt or expire? Also, is your product a once in a life time purchase? Or will they need to buy more at some point? These are points to consider when it comes to the profitability of your business.

6. Do any laws get in your way?

Last but certainly not least, is your product compliant with the law? Are there any restrictions on your products to ship internationally? Think about regulatory organizations such as the FDA if you’re planning to sell a food or supplement product or TRIA Guidelines for telecom product etc. Also, keep in mind that there are different regulations for different states. I suggest reviewing government sites of the countries or states you intend on selling products in.

India Mobile Internet Users 2016- 76% Growth In 2015..

According to the latest report from IAMAI, titled Mobile Internet In India 2016, the country is estimated to have 371 million mobile internet users by June 2016. India will attract 65 million new mobile internet users coming onboard during the period of six months, ending June 2016.
When we put these growth figures of mobile internet users in India along-side the total number of internet users in India, mobile emerges as the clear winner. According to the another the previous report from IAMAI, the number of total internet users in India will reach 462 million mark by June 2016, a 31% yearly growth during the first half of 2016. The percentage, however, is way below than the estimated 56% YoY growth in the number of mobile internet users in India during the same period.

The latest IAMAI report further highlights that 71% of the estimated 371 million mobile internet users in India will belong to Urban area. However, the rural area still holds an enormous potential to drive the future growth of mobile internet in India. In 2015, the number of mobile internet users from rural area doubled from 2014 and in 2016 the growth percentage is estimated to outclass all the previous figures.

As the number of mobile internet users is increasing with each passing year, mobile users in India are becoming more data hungry. In 2015, the share of mobile internet spend in the average monthly bill rose to 64% from 54% in the previous year. However, this has a clear impact on the cost of accessing mobile data that fell about 18% in 2015. These changes can be attributed to the fact that with the improving mobile infrastructure and the availability of improved high-speed 3G and 4G connectivity, people are shifting to apps and internet for most of their activities. The dependency on Voice call has been reduced and people are rather preferring the internet on their mobile phone to make more informed decisions.
